No. Corners4 is four separate corner protectors that bond to a bare iPhone. There is no back shell, no bumper and no rail, so the back, sides, camera array, logo and colour of your phone stay completely visible.

We worked closely with 3M to develop the adhesive for Corners4. Each set includes two sets of adhesive strips. Apply a strip to the corner of the phone, remove the paper backing and slide the Corner over the strip. Once it is in place, apply firm pressure — Corner to phone — for 30 seconds so it bonds firmly.

Under normal use the Corners should remain adhered to your phone. The adhesive holds them firmly without damaging the phone or permanently bonding to it.

It depends on how the phone is used. Some customers have had the same set on a phone for over a year and counting.

Corners4 was purposely designed as a non-permanent application, because people change phones, need repairs, or want to switch colour. Pulling with a firm finger will take them off. Before reapplying, remove all adhesive from inside the Corner — tweezers are ideal — and any residue from the phone, then use a fresh adhesive strip.

No. Once a Corner is removed the original adhesive loses some of its tack. Remove the adhesive and residue from both the Corner and the phone, then apply a new strip. That is why every set ships with two full sets.

It comes off fairly easily — rub it away with your hand or a soft cloth.

It happens. There is a second full set of adhesives in every box for exactly this.

The 3M strip stretches to conform to the Corner, so occasionally a little is exposed. It is fine — trim the excess with the wooden tool included in the set, or tuck it under by running a fingernail around the Corner.

One piece in every set is made with a cutout to clear the camera lens. Make sure that piece goes on the corner nearest the camera; the other three are identical.

Depending on the installation the Corners may be slightly out of line. Stand the phone on its long edge on a flat surface and it should hold. If it does not, nudge the Corners gently into the positions shown in the instructions.

Yes. Additional adhesive strips are available in sets of four, and individual Corners can be bought to replace a lost one or to mix colours. Email 4support@corners4.com with your request.

Yes. Most docking stations work with Corners4. In the rare case one does not, a 3.5mm audio cable to the dock's input is the usual workaround.

A protector of 2mm or less can work, but the installation needs to be more exact and more gentle. Anything thicker will not accommodate the tolerance Corners4 are machined to.

Only if there is a set listed for your specific device. The internal geometry is machined for one body — rounded-rail iPhones like the X, XR, 11 and SE are a genuinely different shape at the corner from every flat-rail iPhone from the 12 onward, and sets are not interchangeable. Start from the shop and pick your device.

They take corner impact, which is where drops concentrate and where glass usually fails, and they hold both glass faces off flat surfaces so the everyday scratching from setting a phone down does not happen. They are not a full-body case: they do not shield the middle of the rear glass from a direct strike, and they add no water resistance.

The Corners bond to the four corners of the phone and cover none of the centre of the rear glass, which is where a MagSafe charger or a Qi pad makes contact.
